Pierrette (Arbour) Demers, 87, passed on May 28th at home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Guy Demers, Born in Granby, Canada a daughter of the late Maurice and Mary (Cabana) Arbour. She resided most of her life in Central Falls before moving to the Villa at St. Antoine, North Smithfield.
She had been employed by International Stretch of Central Falls for over 30 years. She enjoyed bingo, solitaire, word search and teaching her grandchildren her special recipes. Her Sunday family dinners will be forever appreciated.
Pierrette is survived by sons, Peter Demers, Claude Demers and his wife Martha Brehm, Andre Demers and his wife Izabel Alzate and Louie Demers and his wife Donna, two sister, Claire Potvin and Mary Marielord Langevin, a brother Jean Guy Arbour, 5 grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jason, Danielle, wife Caren, Stephanie, husband Matthew and David Demers, great grandsons, Logan and Elijah and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sylvain Demers, sister of the late Denise Cote, Suzanne Arbour and Gaston Arbour and mother-in-law of the late Doreen Demers.
Her funeral will be held Friday, June 4th at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Front St, Lincoln at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave, Providence, RI 02907. www.thekeefefuneralhome.com.
